Forest Road House complex provides purpose built Student Accommodation for students of The University of Essex. Located to the East of Colchester town centre it is approximately 1 mile/20 minutes walk from the University campus at Wivenhoe.
Forest Road House was built by the University of Essex although has been privately owned and managed since August 1998.
The accommodation comprises of 124 rooms within 2 blocks of 3 storey flats. 2 Single rooms and 2 Double rooms within each block have an en-suite facility. Each block also has its own laundry room.
Each of the flats are equipped with a hoover, ironing board, iron, kettle, cooker, fridge, freezer, oven, hob, extractor and microwave. Food storage cupboards are provided in the kitchens and black rubbish sacks and toilet rolls are supplied.
The complex provides a friendly and secure environment to live.
Groups are welcome, subject to availability.
We also offer girls-only flats, 1st year undergraduate-only flats, as well as PhD-only flats, subject to availability.
Being only 20 minutes from the nearby University and with so many facilities Forest Road House is an place for accommodation outside the University itself.
